Despite the almost surreal world Young has crafted, he manages to keep the characters fairly grounded, which best demonstrated through their dialogue. No matter the circumstances Rocket and his supporting cast find themselves in, their reactions are genuine and true to their portrayals in the greater Marvel tapestry. New readers curious about the world of Guardians of the Galaxy will be able to pick up Rocket Raccoon #3 and find the characters recognizable when compared to their cinematic counterparts. Skottie Young's Rocket Raccoon book is everything a comic about an anthropomorphic gun-savvy rodent should be. It's wildly fun and tremendously imaginative. It's no leap to say that Rocket Raccoon may be the most unique Marvel book out there these days. Read Full Review

As I've said in my Star Lord review, this is so much more fun than what is going on in the main GoTG book right now, and while it might not be the same iteration that people are used to from DnA's run on Guardians, its a damn fine book and I can only hope Marvel don't milk it for all its worth and ruin it. We'll have to wait at least another month for the story behind the other raccoon, and probably even longer to find out how the latest setback effects Amalya's murderous plans, but Skootie Young delivers yet again matching art and story for some bizarre fun. Worth a look. Read Full Review
