The story only gets worse for Rider when you come to find out how the Worldmind was used in his escape and why Worldmind has a legit beef with Rider that's pretty justified. I'm enjoying this trip back to the Cancerverse especially with Perez's visuals, the depiction of the hellish nature of this dimension and how anyone would struggle and give up certain morals in order to escape. Perez did an incredible job visualizing the hell that Richard Rider went through and now we're going to see the hell Sam Alexander is going to endure in order to bring his big homie back home. Enjoyable issue that legitimately makes you feel for Rich. He makes a tough choice that no one wants to have to make. I'm glad we finally find out what happens to Rich, as grueling as the truth might be. I fear the final issue will be too rushed to satisfy the readers.

The chunk of the Worldmind Rich left in the Cancerverse has turned just as nasty as you might think. Is Sam too late to save Rich from its clutches? While Worldmind's story isn't much of a revelation (and might contradict some continuity), it's delivered in creeptastic style via some excellent art and writing. Guest artist Scott Hepburn saves the day by making the Cancerverse look just as horrifying as it should. Can Sam Alexander pull a similar trick next month and rescue Rich?
