Nova #25

Twenty-five issues into its run, and Nova has not slowed down in the least. Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning have made the cosmic sector of the Marvel Universe all their own, with the Annihilation titles, the current War of Kings event, and monthly series, such as Nova. Throughout this title's run, Abnett and Lanning have attempted, and succeeded, in bringing the title character into some of the most important recent events of the Marvel Universe, while providing said character with his own unique voice and personality. Kevin Sharpe's pencils are only enhanced further by the final touches of inkers Jeffery Huet and Nelson Pereira. Nova has always been a series of superb quality, in every possible way, and this issue does nothing to sully that record. Read Full Review

This is an extremely fun issue with some great writing that is hindered a bit by the serviceable art. Still, even though the art kept it from taking the Top Spot, this is a cant miss book. Read Full Review

This issue feels like a culmination of many of the threads Abentt and Lanning have been working with over the past two years. I'm very interested to see where they go from here, even if War of Kings will likely dominate the proceedings over the summer. The writers have shown no problem making the most of big events when it comes to Nova, and I see no reason to believe War of Kings will prove any different. Read Full Review

While I liked the ending and the fact Richard is back as Nova, the issue didn't really click for me. Just too much of the inner turmoil mumbo jumbo type of storytelling solutions that I don't particularly care for. Still, it's Nova, so even an average issue is still damn good. Read Full Review

Out of all the words that I could use to describe Nova 25, Inthink the best one would have to be satisfying. This issue was by far the most satisfying of the series as Richard becomes Nova Prime again, Worldmind and Ego are defeated, Worldmind reboots and a rebooted Worldmind returns to Richard’s head. Fantastic
