Nighthawk #3

Nighthawk continues being my favorite Marvel book because David F. Walker tells it like it is and make no excuses.  I'd say he doesn't offer any apologies, but why should he?  This is a brutal, street level, kickass book that may be a little too real for some people, but those are probably the people who should be reading it.  In fact, everyone should be reading it because it is just that good. This issue did excitement well, but the series has been best when commenting on today's issues and would be best served getting back to that. Read Full Review

The story is fundamentally OK, the plot does the non sequential angle, some scenes come before others as indicated by the ever so useful tag lines "X amount of minutes ago". The problem is the dialogue is so dull you start to drift over the text and wind up having to re read bits to get the gist. Read Full Review

Another good one. That panel where we get an X-ray look as Nighthawk harpooned that guy and pinned him to the roof of the van was sick. I guess Nighthawk is all of a sudden okay with killing people now? So much for not having crossed the line!

I really hate Nighthawk's tech. It looks ridiculous and non-functional. I know they're trying to bring a lot of race issues up but it really isn't working for me. Like I read in another review, his operator is really annoying. She says the same thing over and over again. Nighthawk would be so much better on his own.
