Roberto confronts his father about putting his & his mother's lives at risk to exploit the Maderia region for his business. After Amara is harassed at the beach while with Dani, she subconsciously unleashes her mutant magma power. The hot Rio sun causes her to become disoriented, causing her to hallucinate about destroying the city. She is found by some kids & later tracked down by the New Mutants using Rahne's sense of smell. She recovers after ice is used to bring down her body temperature. She tells the others that she will be joining them to learn to use her powers, just as her father had wished her to.
