Ms. Marvel #33 demonstrates that the "Kamala + Bruno vs. crazy challenges" formula is still a winner. There are a few tiny flaws, but it's a remarkably strong performance for a second chapter. It draws us in deeper by amplifying the manic intensity of the previous issue without turning loose any secrets. Ms Marvel #33 is a fine drum beat in the overall series. For those who have this ongoing in their regular pull, there shouldn't be any qualms. Even those doing a check-in or new readers with a firm footing in Marvel lore, enough to get the inside baseball jokes with the Shocker, will certainly find this enjoyable. Read Full Review

There’s a couple of pages around the midpoint that get more out there, both in story purpose and imagery, with Herring in particular being able to craft a striking page with a dramatically different colour palette to the one they traditionally use on the book. For the most part, however, Ms. Marvel #33 is a solid issue that’s never anything less than engaging - one that delivers what long-term readers expect from this book as well one that can give new readers a taste of what the series is like. The book deserves commendation for being able to be that, after more than 50 issues. That length of run is rare these days and so having one that continues to be worth reading is worth treasuring, even the story potential isn’t always completely capitalized on. Read Full Review

Kamala's battle with the Shocker expands in several weird directions. Bruno is on his own trying to apply science to her superpower problems with all possible haste. This story proceeds with deceptive speed, but there's a lot of subtle detail lurking in the background - both artistically and narratively. The Shocker clearly knows more than he says, for example, and his schemes are full of mysteries still to be revealed. And of course, there's a healthy nostalgia factor invoked by combining Kamala and Bruno again.

Beside be sad to see Shocker as a bad guy again (So soon after Rogue helping him at court), I love what Wilson do. I love his fort ^^ I'm a little less interested by bruno & the professor X gadget. I wonder where Wilson want to go. Cover - Love it, but not related. 1/2 Writing - That wasn't bad but some part made me bored. 2.5/3 Arts - Love Nico Leon work. 3/3 Feeling - Still fun 2/2
