Mar 16, 2017"Go, Go Monsters Unleashed!" can probably be this series's unofficial theme song. With it's conclusion it shows itself to be a monster smackdown and introduction to five new heroes for the Marvel Universe. It's not deep or dark, let alone for older readers, but a fun monsterpalooza for the younger comic reading crowd. Read Full Review

Mar 15, 2017There's a disappointing lack of The Avengers, but the finale of the Monsters Unleashed crossover is still full of all-ages, action-packed thrills. Read Full Review

Mar 15, 2017This final issue twists things a bit which is good as it's an improvement over the last four issues. Kid Kaiju steps up to take on the enemy and his powers are interesting harkening back to some retro stories. It's clear what the intended audience is for the upcoming series based on this final issue, but I'm also a little baffled how an ongoing series is spinning out of this. I have some ideas and this final issue has me intrigued as to what's up. What's really impressive is this final issue boosts what has come before and makes the whole series an interesting read. Mar 19, 2017All in all, even with my hesitation about the presentation and the hype about this book, I still found this an enjoyable reading experience overall, and Kubert's art made the combat sequences (which are most of the issue, it must be said) really sing. In short, Monsters Unleashed #5 has a lot to offer and adds another smart young hero to the Marvel Universe, which I'm all in favor of. Read Full Review

Mar 23, 2017Monsters Unleashed wasn't the greatest series but it certainly had its moments. The fun quotient was turned way up and the plethora of guest stars made it a worthwhile read. Now let's see if the regular series can keep the momentum going. Read Full Review

Mar 17, 2017Slightly overspent, and certainly uneven throughout the breadth of the series, Monsters Unleashed was more fun than most Marvel events in recent memory. If you skipped the series to this point, Monsters Unleashed #5 gives you enough to prepare for the ongoing, which Bunn will also be writing, with art from David Balden. I might not rush back to re-read this before the first issue of the ongoing is in my hands, but Im sure Ill check it out again by the time this series hits Marvel Unlimited. Read Full Review
