Slott returns the old-school Avengers feel to an Avengers title! Hulk, Stark, Pym, Hercules, Quicksilver. This has it all. The only thing it's missing now are the little headshots on the cover. Read Full Review

I didn't expect to enjoy this issue of Mighty Avengers as much as I did. Thankfully, Dan Slott seems to be promptly hitting his stride and if the pattern continues, we'll have a great addition to the Avengers line on our hands. Read Full Review

Pham really borrows a lot from Kevin Maguire, even if hiswork is more angular and his ability to draw facial expressions not as strong. Howeverthe rock creatures he uses are clearly modelled after those the Defendersfought in the series created by Keith Giffen, J. M. DeMatteis and Maguire.Still, his work is well suited for a Marvel Comics series. No complaints fromthis reader. Read Full Review

Mighty Avengers #22 was a solid read. This is a classic super hero story that should appeal to readers who are not fans of what Bendis is giving us with New Avengers. However, it should be noted that Mighty Avengers #22 is not "gritty" or "realistic." There is no "trendy" casual dialogue in this issue. If you are not a fan of traditional super hero tales then you might not enjoy Mighty Avengers #22. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - James Hunt

Overall, Slott has brought a unique feel to the series most hard-pressed to justify its existence as the Avengers line expands. It's easy to see who "Mighty Avengers" is aimed at -- old-school Avengers fans -- and it should have little trouble appealing to exactly those people. Read Full Review
