SciFiPulse - Ian Cullen
Aug 17, 2017Yet another great issue of this series by David F. Walker. I absolutely loved Bernstein's speech where he tries to justify his actions and also tries to claim credit for making Luke Cage who he is. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - William Evans
Aug 17, 2017Luke Cage, as predicted, is still really good with the plot heating up. When it seemed it was possible some not as interesting characters might take control of the narrative, Walker guides us right back into the path of our dangerous players. Read Full Review

Bleeding Cool - Joshua Davison
Aug 18, 2017This is my favorite issue of the series thus far. I put my faith in Power Man and Iron Fist scribe David F. Walker to continue his success trend with Luke Cage, and that faith has been rewarded. The man understands the character, and I look forward to his continuing work with Marvels greatest hero. You need to check this one out. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Jim Werner
Aug 21, 2017This issue does accelerate the story along and the art is still stupendous. I especially like the moving action panels. But the story is still kind of middle of the road. I am very interested in the possibilities the character, KevLar, brings to this book though. Hopefully in a month I won't find myself trying to remember what happened in the previous issue, and instead I will find myself super excited to read the latest issue. Read Full Review

Aug 17, 2017I'm still not thrilled about the story that David F. Walker is bringing to the book, but his version of Cage reads like Cage. That's more than we can say for some comics. Read Full Review

This comic is probably David Walkers weakest book at marvel yet but I am still enjoying this book especially the relationship between cage and tanner

Luke cage has been ok for me so far. This issue really didn't change anything for me. The art is not my favorite and the story really isn't that interesting. I don't think it's bad either. Hopefully the next arc is a little more interesting.

Luke confronts Dr. Burstein, but the many other dangerous factions moving around the good doctor replace Luke's final reckoning with a lot of deadly fighting. This issue has an excellent script with insight, great pacing, and strong character work. It also has some distinctly disappointing art. Nelson Blake still draws nice figures but they're still adrift and motionless in too-big, too-blank spaces.
