Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten. I don't know how you are supposed to read this? As an adult who likes comics or as a kid interested in them? If you are reading this as an adult interested in some type of continuity and story, you honestly may not like it too much. But if you are reading this to your kids, it's funny, interesting, and shows you characters you remember but in a way to make it interesting and exciting for kids. My little boys have read every Pet Avengers Comic, and are in love with Lockjaw!!! This is a fun comic for them to read that gives them some insight into the Savage Land, a more

Lockjaw and D-Man's Savage Land trip delivers some exquisitely-drawn animals and a fair helping of humor. The characterization is a little off. Ka-Zar takes a weird turn in the final scene. Prior to that, Dennis tries to paste an "I'm depressed" monologue over a fight scene that doesn't suit it. Those sour notes make this a slight step down from the awesome debut, but it's still an excellent comic.

Sillyness. And not even a funny or intriguing silliness as the undramatic hamster threat continues. Not sure what to make of that 'puppy among wolves' after 20 pages. Any publicity is good publicity - but in this case there wasn't much good from this one-shot portrayal of Ka-Zar and Zabu either.
