May 22, 2013This series deserves a great deal more love than it gets. I think its great how much Marvel promotes it, and Im hoping its selling well because these stories have yet to disappoint. If youre looking for a fun comic with a strong female lead that doesnt skimp on dramatic beats, this is the perfect book for you. Even if you just want an interesting story with some characters who are too often in the shadow of the A-listers, I cant recommend this one enough. Read Full Review

May 22, 2013Valerio Schiti is on fire in this issue, which opens with a gorgeous 3x3 spread of panels that's cleverly divvied up to show Sif at her fiercest (while gardening... with a broadsword). Jordie Bellaire's colors are at their best. Sif's cerulean eyes shine as brightly as the crimson of her armor and the sickly greens of Asgardia's garden threaten to rot right off the page -- that's a compliment, I swear. If you're not avidly following Journey Into Mystery, with its top-notch writing and visuals... a plague on your house. Read Full Review

May 23, 2013Another fun read from Immonen and Schiti, this issue is full of the clever dialogue and engaging artwork readers have come to expect from this series. The appearances of Jane and Tony were especially amusing, and Bills dramatic entrance into the story promises to further complicate Sifs life. Overall a highly satisfying issue. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - Hugo Robberts Lariviere
May 29, 2013Even without action or without any big name character, this issue shows you can craft a great issue with good character work and through the exploration of said characters with their interaction through drama and humor. It also does help that both Bellaire and Schitti are doing some great work here as well. Read Full Review

May 26, 2013I've never been the biggest fan of Marvel's take on Thor, but when Beta Ray Bill was introduced, I took notice. Walt Simonson birthed the character whole cloth and Marvel has done well in selectively using him since 1983, so naturally I am interested in seeing what happens with him in further issues. Despite my apathy toward most things Thor, "Journey Into Mystery" is consistently one of Marvel NOW!'s best titles and frequently one of the best reads each week it's released. "Journey Into Mystery" #652 is a brilliant example of why: smart, sassy writing, gorgeous art and surprisingly human characters in situations that are fantastic examples of the types of things that should be in comics.
