Iron Man #7

Iron Man #7 is a strong, if flawed, debut for the Knaufs on the series. The assassin subplot isn't anything special, but Daniel and Charles have clearly shown that they understand precisely what's going on in Tony Stark's head. I can't speak to whether it's a step up or down from the previous creative team's stint, but anyone can appreciate the fact that a quality Iron Man book is hitting the stands on a regular basis once again. Patrick Zircher and Scott Hanna's art is pretty solid stuff. I have no complaints. It isn't the best art out there, but it is good and makes the comic enjoyable to read. Zircher draws a nice Iron Man and an even better Tony Stark. If not drawn right, Stark can look too boring and conservative with his generic short "white guy" haircut or too cheesy with that little moustache. Zircher draws Tony with more length on his hair and gives him a goatee. Tony must always have a goatee. No more mustache. Read Full Review

With all the negatives of this issue the series still looks to be moving up, and now that its a monthly again, true Iron Man fans can prepare to experience more of Iron Mans world. Read Full Review

Looks like I never tried this series after the Extremis arc. I remember buying the next post Civil War story arcs with Madame Mask, but not these. It's actually better, than I expected. The art is fine and juicy. The writing is okay, I just wish the story got more interesting. So far it's only a set-up, a beginning.
