  (Cover Date: October, 1969) Summary: Thinking that Tony is a lookalike, Midas implements a plan to have him replace the "real" Tony Stark. After Madame Masque breaks them into Stark Industries, they are confronted by the LMD Iron Man. Tony manages to put on the original Iron Man armor & fights against the LMD. The LMD falls into a smelting vat while trying to toss Tony into it. Tony then collapses in front of the arriving Avengers due to his weakened heart.
