This was a good issue of Inhumans setting up the stage for whats to come in the next few issues of the series before Secret Wars. The writing was good from Charles Soule, given some depth to the Medusa and Black Bolt relationship. The art from this issue is good but could have been better. Im actually kind of curious to what Lineage has in store for the Inhumans down the line. Overall this was a good issues that was fun. Read Full Review

Inhuman #12 is in many ways the cap off to the last year of the title. Many of the title's lingering plot threads are resolved and we actually get to see Black Bolt in action. This title just needs to find its focus now and it can be great. Read Full Review

Inhuman #12 proves that the leaders of New Attilan are not to be messed with. Black Bolt and Medusa easily steal the show, but why wouldn't they? They're two of Marvel's most unique characters. Charles Soule shows that they're like forces of nature, and Ryan Stegman communicates this though his visuals. While the comic has a few lapses in pacing, the overall result is a strong finale that leaves matters uncertain enough to lure readers back for more. What Infinity gave us was a world of possibility, and now that the Terrigen Mists has been unleashed on the earth, Soule and company have shown that they no problems coming up with new threats for these heroes to face. The same problem I've had for most of the run is still here and I know I need to just accept it. But it frustrates me so because there's a wealth of great character and story material between the panels to explore and that this rushed aspect just does a disservice to the work as a whole. The attack by Ennilux is pushed to the side for the time being here and a quick order rebuild of New Attilan is pretty much underway. I wonder what their version of Damage Control would be like? I'm still not interested in most of the NuHumans, though Nur is definitely growing on me, and I have zero interest in Iso and Reader because of how bad their storyline has been. The saving grace continues to be the Medusa and Black Bolt material, but even they're poorly served more often than not with clipped stories and development. Read Full Review
