  Well, I really loved Marvel: The End and read it in print many times. However, I laid my hands on this book much later. I remember I traded it for one of my books I replaced with a new hardcover edition and expected this story to be at least as best as The End. I never opened this book again after reading it… I don’t know, I barely remember it and I think I just didn’t really get the story and it felt like it wasn’t my cup of tea. There was too much, but it didn’t feel important or major. Now I’m finally trying to read it again after many years. I hope I’ll like it more this time. The beginning was okay, but again, Jim Starlin is a bit hard to read, he uses way too many rare words and even if I do understand the majority of them, it’s still tiring. And if The End had something interesting from the very beginning, this oversized issue was spent to introduce all the main characters that play key roles in the story. It could be okay, but the flow is unnatural, and you constantly feel interrupted by another scene and some characters aren’t connected to the other ones yet. Anyway, there is some mysterious menace, something happened to the original Thanos and a bunch of Thanos clones (or whatever they are) emerged pursuing some yet unknown to us agenda. Too many questions, but no answers yet. Almost 40 pages of exposition and that’s it. It’s not bad, but it can’t really be better than “ok”. more
