The minute he saw the dame, Orson Randall knew he was in for a heap of hurt -- all in. But he wouldn't be the hard-boiled hero he was if he didn't go sniffing after trouble. Hero? Randall stopped the laugh in his throat.

    Still, Orson Randall himself is as compelling as ever. His latest adventure looks good, and it has plenty to offer fans despite all its faults. If I'm required to wait a while for the next installment of the main book, I can think of far worse ways to pass the time. Read Full Review
