Hulk #56

I'm not sure how much more I can say about this comic. I enjoyed it even though it didn't totally blow me away. Mostly I'm looking for the big payoff that I can guarantee you is coming next issue. Read Full Review

Dale Eaglesham's artwork isn't quite up to the quality established in the previous issues. Some of his framing is a little odd, with characters seeming to fade out of focus and into the background. On the plus side, the lengthy flashback to the origins of the gods allows Eaglesham to branch out and tackle some more unusual, non-super-heroic imagery. Hopefully Eaglesham will be back in top form for the finale issue. Read Full Review

It's mostly setup, and once Parker explains who these Mayan "gods" are... the issue's mostly over! For long-time readers, that might be too slow for comfort, but for new readers, this is a great place to get hooked. Read Full Review
