Abnett and Lanning craft a terrific tale that has been building for quite some time. Even with Realm of Kings in the offing, I'm more interested in the fallout of this issue than anything else going on in the cosmic section of Marvel. Actually, let's do away with the "cosmic" qualifier to that last sentence – Guardians is the first comic I read every Wednesday it comes out and so should you. Read Full Review

In a word: excellent. Abnett and Lanning combine cosmic adventure with gritty combat and a dash of comedy into a wonderful package. Read Full Review

A great wrap-up to a great storyline. I really don’t have any complaints and I feel like this book keeps getting better and better. I appreciate the extensive use of Marvel history and continuity that these guys have been throwing into this book every month as well as the sense of humor and fun. And a talking dog with a Russian accent never hurts. I feel like I’m reading a kooky comic version of an old Republic serial every month. Good stuff. Read Full Review

This should be one of the biggest and most important issues of the series, but, unfortunately, the unfocused dialogue, rushed plotting, and simply horrendous art completely derails the importance of the moment. You'll very little of the many, many, many things that make this one of the best comics on the stands in this issue, which is a damn shame as I hate to criticize what is normally one of my favorite titles. While Guardians of the Galaxy 19 started off rather boringly as Kang sent the Guardians back to there original time to stop Magus. Fortunately, the final battle between the Guardians and Magus was by far the highlight of the series. Star Lord kills Adam Magus with the Tesseract but not before Major Victory, Martyr, Cosmo, and Mantis were all killed
