Groot #3

This series keeps getting better and better. The storylines are getting a bit more intricate now, which I really appreciate. It’s pretty fun going with Groot on his journey to find Rocket Raccoon. "Groot" is a very good read. It brings in Silver Surfer and his partner, Dawn, into the fold for this issue. This comic book showcases the character's personalities and provides a good one-shot, team-up story. The book has great visuals to capture the essence of what makes Groot, Surfer and Dawn a great set of characters. This comic is a fun ride and is worth checking out. Read Full Review

Groot is a lot like Punisher, Magneto, Howard the Duck, Ant-Man, Moon Knight, or Deathlok in that it stands out at Marvel thanks to how small it is. In a comic landscape more and more dominated by overinflated stakes and end of the world situations it's nice to be able to read a comic that just wants to make us laugh and tell its own story rather bludgeon us with dreary doomsdays. Small really is bountiful and Groot is the best example of that there is. Read Full Review

Brief though it was, it was really nice to see Norrin and Dawn again. Been missing them ever since I finished reading Slott's Surfer run.
