Chuck Austen continues to use this book as a dumping ground for Uncanny X-Men plots, as the Exiles are given very little to do but stand around getting their heads handed to them by the various baddies that are running around in these pages. However, this book also has the annoying habit of cutting away after the villains are finished with their ranting & raving, so we're even cheated out of the simple enjoyment of seeing the fights, as most of the action plays out off panel. So instead of seeing how Wolverine was taken down, or how Morph was ripped apart, we're told this is what happened after the fact. There's also the awkward writing like when Illyana decides the best way to elicit Angel's help is to act like a complete lunatic.
