Marquez's versatility is on full display in this issue as he shifts between three distinct styles. His traditional superhero pages are as stylish and impeccably rendered as always. The Defenders #6 is a solid issue while I am getting a little tired of the story there is a pretty good teaser at the end and the story did set up a great fight between The Defenders and Diamondback, really those pages are worth the price of admission alone. I am not really keen on Deadpool being introduced not sure why he is being brought in, but we will probably be seeing more of him in the next issue. It looks like we will be sticking with this “Kingpins of New York” storyline for at least a few more issues so hopefully, Bendis turns it around before it gets too stale. Read Full Review

this book is great. the art is very good. the writing is spot on. the story itself just keeps getting better. even the inclusion of Deadpool couldn't ruin it for me. The reveal at the end is just perfect. This book is the biggest surprise I've had from Marvel since Jane Foster turned out not to be horrible. Nice!

Bendis is really killing it with the Defenders. Defenders is the best team book at Marvel right now. It captures the voices of each character and I am excited to see what Deadpool brings to the story. Bendis does a great job of Catching everyone up on the last arc while also giving us some interesting reveals for the future. This is a solid jump on point and Marquez is keeping art consistent throughout the series. This is a good time to be a reader of street-level Marvel comics. My hope is that Bendis can play well with others and be thoughtful about the other books currently featuring each of these characters. I was skeptical of this book in the beginning as a Netflix cash grab, but I am happy to say that that is not the case and Bendis ca res. Perhaps Coates and Bendis can find some common ground and The Crew and Black Panther can connect with the other Street level heroes. Maybe even some Runaways love too. Just a thought Bendis. more

Best issue yet. For the first time all series, I have no complaints about the dialogue. Art is consistently phenomenal and I loved to see Luke Cage beat the sheet out of Willis.

Recapturing Diamondback and socking him into court barely slow him down at all. While Jessica solicits help from Deadpool, Diamondback reveals he has an even bigger guest star of his own. David Marquez's art is back on the top of his game. This issue lets him do some exceptional fight scenes and a remarkable "courtroom sketch" interlude that's refreshing without any disappointment. The script is not Brian Michael Bendis's best, but this series forces you to confront the fact that even on cruise control, Mr. Bendis is *still* one of the most entertaining voices in the Bullpen.

Probably the weakest issue in the series so far and even then its not bad at all. The art continues to be the highpoint of this series. As much as some of these legacy books have been awesome and started new stories this is literally just a continuation of the series so far which was kind of a bummer. Deadpool to me is not a selling point. He is definitely my least favorite character in Marvel and his inclusion really doesn't make sense.
