"Institutionalized," Parts 2 & 3 Surprising to no one but himself, Deadpool has found himself locked up in the psych unit of Crossmore Prison. Will therapy help Deadpool finally fix the loose wires in his head, or will the stress of incarceration drive him to a whole new level of craziness? Oh, and speaking of crazy...guess who else is locked up in Crossmore? Here's a hint—his name rhymes with "pool killer". Which, coincidentally, is a pretty accurate description of what he intends to do.

    The balance of jokes and story made this one of the best efforts in the recent run of the series. The inclusion of Dr. Whitby provides an earnest and quirky partner for Wade and allows his humor and insanity to shine on like a figurative crazy diamond. Daniel Way goes for the neck in Deadpool #41 with direct questioning of both the mercenary's issue in hearing (or seeing) voices in the form of caption boxes and his complacency with killing lots of people, particularly by ludicrous means.     The art was a huge improvement though this issue. Better background lining and better facial expressions. Overall, however, I still find this story arc a bit dull. Read Full Review
