The biggest problem I really have with the Deadpool thus far is that the first three issues were purely a SI tie-in. Captain Britain also began its life as a tie-in arc, but it also found time to set up the series as a whole at the same time. The team was built, motivations were established, and future plot threads were introduced. That didn't happen here. With the exception of the last page of this issue, I know nothing about the general direction of the series than I did before I picked up the first issue. While I don't ever expect the plot to supplant the spectacle in terms of importance on this title, anything would have been better than the nothing we received.
