Quick review of Deadly Hands of K'un-Lun #2 (NO SPOILERS):
GOOD
- Fast-paced and action-packed
- We find out more about Pei! Awesome!
- There's a wink at Danny and the Immortal Weapons (I think)
- Art looks really good; perfect for the series
NOT SO GOOD
- Story didn't move as fast as the pace; the plot feels a bit thin
- I needed something big to happen, but nothing did; have to wait for next issue, maybe
- If Lin Lie is supposed to be the series' star, he needs stronger character moments
OVERALL
The story is not bad. It's still fun with lots of fighting, which is great for a book about martial artists. But it needed more weight, something memorable from the issue. There's only good, but not grea more+ Like • Comment -
