Dark Web: Ms. Marvel #2 is just a hell of a lot of fun. The comic could easily stand on its own, having little to do with the greater event. Even if you're not interested in it, this is a two issue series that's worth picking up to just sit back and enjoy. Read Full Review

Dark Web: Ms. Marvel #2 is an embarrassing misstep in an increasing number of embarrassing missteps for the Dark Web event. The plot is a random collection of events strung together, there's nothing in this issue contributing to the Dark Web event as a tie-in, so there really isn't much reason to read it. This two-shot ends with the same tone as it began, one I love. The creators approach this as though it's an event tie-in in a nonexistent Ms. Marvel ongoing. It's all the better for it. The Chasm fight and trip to Limbo are handled quickly, like editorial mandates, and the bulk of the series concentrates on the effect Dark Web has on Kamala's personal world. The art remains sharp and mature in a mostly-good way, and it does good visual storytelling. The script is cleanly structured and well-paced and the prose has improved from the last issue. I hope that when Ms. Marvel *does* get another ongoing, the slight status quo adjustments made here (tweaking her powers, giving her some new nemeses) are carried over.

This was a little all over the place, but still enjoyable. I'm not sure why we needed this book, especially as a Dark Web tie-in, though. Ben Reilly sending Kamala to Limbo was, seemingly, the main reason we were getting this mini, and she barely spent any time there here and didn't spend any in the previous issue (aside from the final page). What's more is that her interaction with the demons in Limbo was probably my favorite part of this book. All things considered, this was a fairly entertaining two-issue story that I, personally, don't think was needed and/or could have been executed better to fit more in with Dark Web.
