But Why Tho? - William Tucker

Daredevil: Gang War #3 is pushing its key characters closer. The agony both women have endured and unleashed on others ties them together. Whilst it is deeply connected to the main book, there is constant communication with the other heroes. Read Full Review

Each sequence in Daredevil: Gang War #3 reads as if there were an accompanying narrator saying, "and then this happened." The story ties into "Gang War" neatly enough, but adds no additional drama to that particular event or in its own proceedings. Read Full Review

A pretty solid issue as we head into the final few issues of Gang War. As a matter of fact, solid is probably the best way to describe nearly everything about this issue. I wonder if this series will end up having any impact on Saladin Ahmed's current Daredevil run.

I'm still loving the art, and I find the dialogue adequate, with a few especially good lines. But in terms of plot and content, this issue digresses and saps tension. The harshest way to look at it is that this issue has some painfully filler-y filler material. But it's not a mortal sin, and the detour gives the author a chance to show (as in "show, don't tell") Elektra being empathic.
