When Willie Lincoln discovers the location of Crime-Wave's secret base, the villain sends out an assassin, the Torpedo, to murder him. Daredevil intercepts this threat, but can't tackle the fight on his own!

(Cover Date: December, 1969) Summary: DD takes down two of Crime-Wave's henchmen who are in the process of extorting "protection" money from a business owner. At Foggy's DA office, Willie Lincoln tells Matt about his serendipitous meeting with Crime-Wave at his secret base. Crime-Wave hires the hitman Torpedo to kill Willie after his story appears in the Daily Bugle. DD fights Torpedo who was waiting for Willie inside his hotel room. After their fight moves to the roof, Willie interrupts Torpedo while he is stomping on DD's fingerhold on the roof's edge. DD is able to save Willie from falling off, but Torpedo falls to his death.
