Champions has been the best book, consistently, since issue 1. Every arc has been amazingly fun and so well written and drawn. Yup, Champions is my favorite book, hands down. Cyclops, Ms. Marvel, the totally awesome Hulk, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Nova, and Viv Vision should go down in history alongside such teams as the New Mutants and Teen Titans. Champions remains the go-to book if you want a fun series featuring Marvel's legacy characters. However, a lot of the focus lately has been on Viv. Let's hope, moving forward, that they give some of the other characters a chance to shine, especially the newcomers, whom readers might not be familiar with. Read Full Review

This issue was a bit "filler-ish" but I was glad to see that Viv Vision replacement model is not as perfect as she was being portrayed. I feel vindicated as a cagey SOB. Another note of caution, the cast of this book now needs to get paired down again - there are too many characters following the recruitment drive and the equilibrium of the title has been lost. It will be sad if Waid's strong run ends with a jam-packed character heavy book just to make way for a slightly re-calibrated set up under the new creative team. We shall see. Read Full Review

The interesting parts are at the beginning, when both "sisters" are paranoid about the other. Android Viv gives her counterpart very good reasons to fear her. But the whole thing is over so fast that there isn't any nuance to android Viv, and she just becomes one-dimensional. Read Full Review

Viv 2.0 goes full-blown murderous bonkers sooner than anticipated. The Viv-on-Viv conflict is so tense and creepy that it pulls this issue up way past average despite the forgettability of the rest of the team's antics. It's interesting that all the best Champions stories so far have spotlit single team members; why can't the creators make the team as a whole compelling? As seen here, the issue extends to the visuals as well as the scripts; panels with just one or two characters are orders of magnitude better than those with big crowds.

The thriller aspect of the issue with the Viv sisters was enjoyable, even if it was a bit expected. The recruitment party would have been summed up in a single splash page in the past so seeing it carry on for so long felt like padding for the book. One of the things that is surprising me is how much I am enjoying Nadia's relationships grow in both Avengers and here. Her thinking of Vision as family is nice. The animated style of the art works really well for this team, but when you are trying to evoke horror it does not work as well. Champions has been a strong series so this is still worth the read.

This issue had little to do with this champion drive and still continues the Viv Vision plot. At this point just make another Vision family book because the champions and even the Avengers tie ins from when worlds collide have been dealing with Viv for the past 3 months.

I find it very disturbing ... With all Vision Power the Viv Android didn't succeed to arm Human Viv. Fuck that's a bad call ... Yeah I understand the importance of the lamp. And I'm happy viv is alive. But It's not very realistic. I like the team going saving the metroline. Ironhearth & Hulk mathematic use the most ! Cover - Very nice but not related to my reading 1/2 Writing - Mixed feeling 1.5/2 Arts - Still love Ramos, but this time I find it less enjoyable 2/3 Feeling - Well I didn't expect that. So on that part It's a win, but I didn't enjoy it like I would expect. 1/2
