This current run of Captain America: Sam Wilson is going to end up on the syllabus of a really liberal, young-minded sociology professor one day. Read Full Review

In many ways, it's anti-escapist escapism - while it has its share of rough edges, Spencer and Acuna are going for the original Marvel ideal, to show the world outside your window. It might not always show us the best view, but it's the kind of challenging and important storytelling that Captain America deserves. Read Full Review

    Heroes Direct - Adam Fitch

Sam has changed over the course of his run as Cap. At first he'd follow his heart into any situation, but recently he finds himself stuck in between his actions as a black American man and as Captain America; a symbol of hope and justice for many. Read Full Review

Bits and Pieces:I am liking this story more and more with each issue, and it shows that Sam is growing as Captain America. This chapter shows the very fragile line that could have a protest  break out into a riot extremely well, as well as show the downside to both sides of the conflict. Overall, I thought it was a great chapter, and the next chapter looks like it's going to be intense. Read Full Review

The Sam Wilson run of Captain America has been many places. The return of Cap-Wolf and the Serpent Squad were a fun light-hearted throwback. And now we are in a socially driven serious story line. We see Cap deal with the unwinnable choice made when you stand between oppressed people driven to a violent state and the aggressors that act out of fear and anger in violence. Spencer tries to show that when both sides become to strong in their stance and unwilling to step back there is no winning. The story shows a clear lead-in to the #givebackthesheild story that is coming with the return of John Walker the U.S. Agent (and former Captain America himself). There is a very distinct art style that I enjoy and really sets itself apart. The return more

Loved everything in this issue other than that LOL moment when a group of birds gather twigs and create a makeshift barrier for Sam Wilson. Love the US Agents outlook on things, This issue really displays different political sides well.
