When it comes down to it, Captain American and the Secret Avengers is not a comic I can recommend to purchase. The price is just too high for the content provided. The story has a few highlights, like the fact that Sharon and Widow didn't know it was bad procedure to transport a dog in the trunk of the car, but other than that the issue is definitely filler just trying to capitalize on the Captain America name. And of all the old back-up stories to include, you use one featuring Rob Liefeld art? Yuck. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Ryan K. Lindsay
Apr 02, 2011This one-shot is not on the level of the Crossbones or Batroc issues. Those issues delved into character, redefined what we were presented with and carved a new path for all involved. Don't know what's with the harsh criticism from the critics but I actually enjoyed this issue. It had plenty of action and was complicated enough that it kept you guessing but never too complicated to the point you are confused
