Captain America #13

If you haven't been reading recent issues of CAPTAIN AMERICA, you owe it to yourself to catch up on the current arc. Brubaker and Zircher are delivering a grittier story full of action, mystery and suspense. At this point of the arc, we could use some more answers but perhaps I'm just getting a little impatient because I want more. The idea of bringing in past friends and enemies of Cap's is great as it reminds me of when I first started reading CAPTAIN AMERICA. Complimenting Zircher's art are the great colors courtesy of Paul Mounts. He keeps the palette dark and it looks wonderful. It feels like this entire story arc stakes place at nighttime, which is not a bad thing. It was jarring at first, coming off of the bright Alan Davis arc, but now that we are in the swing of things, it is pretty clear that Zircher and Mounts fit this story like a glove. Read Full Review

The new Scourge is D-Man? Is that a joke? It’s not, but it should be, because until now D-Man was only used for mostly comic relief. It seems like Brubaker is really running out of ideas, but at least this is the second last arc of his run
