Read Comic Books - Derek Baker
Oct 11, 2012The story is extremely disappointing in this arc, but the art has been improved and is clearly the hero of this issue. Captain America and Ed Brubaker have seen better days together. Its probably for the best that its ending. Lets just hope that they go out with a bang instead of a whimper. Read Full Review

Oct 15, 2012By the time you turn to the last page of Captain America #18 the phrase "Is that it?" will quickly come to mind. Though the issue delivers a lot of explosions many of the resolutions to the story lack that final element to make it all tie together. But thanks to Scott Eaten on art duty we do get some grand explosions that does entertain in a shut off your brain-type of fun. Hopefully Brubakers final arc on Captain America that begins in a couple weeks will end on a high note. Read Full Review

Oct 14, 2012Blah. That's my thoughts on this one. It's sad that Ed Brubaker's epic Cap run is ending with such a whimper, but that's what we're getting. Captain America 18 is obviously rushed as Steve kills Bravo and puts the Queen of Hydra in a coma in 2 pages. Easily the worst arc of Brubaker's run. Definitely skippable
