  (Cover Date: January, 1969) Summary: Cap tells Fury about a mission that he & Bucky were on in WWII to disable Nazi coastal guns prior to the D-Day invasion. Prompted by Fury, Cap tells him of the day when Dr. Reinstein's "super-soldier" formula turned him from frail Steve Rogers into Captain America & when Reinstein was killed by a Nazi spy, thus taking his secret formula with him to the grave. He then reminisces about how Bucky learned his secret identity & later tragically died.
