What the neck was that ending? Was this cancelled with more planned back then in 2002 or was this the official ending? Going all over the place from being bulletproof to getting bloodied by a punch, to then I guess getting killed by Tombstone and Hammerhead? I think I understand what Azzarello will was trying to say here but it gets lost in hoe he handles Luke's power levels.
In terms of Azzarellos message of the city or projects, he's showing that there is no,difference between the mayor of the city all the way to the lowest street gangster such as Clifto.
Clifton believes himself to own the block which he doesn't and gets himself blown up. Hammerhead and Tombstone want parts of the projects to be gentrified so they can g more+ Like • Comment -

Well, off to a good start and then such a dumb ending... Meh. I didn't expect something big of this series, but the first issue got me really excited. However, my expectations after the first issue were devastated by the following ones... I guess it's still not a bad story, but a very weird one and it really reminds me of Luke Cage Noir. I guess they took inspiration from this Marvel Max book, but made it much more grounded and believable. And that Noir Tombstone was really great, unlike this one.
