Cable & Deadpool #46

Fabian brings his A-game to the table as well. His comedy has always been hit or miss with me, and leaning more towards miss on average, but this issue hits comic gold on more than one occasion. Nicieza pays special attention to the fact that Deadpool is around eight years in the past, but that it's also 1967 at the same time, so expect a lot of fourth wall tomfoolery. The difference between Deadpool's time traveling and something like Booster Gold is that Deadpool doesn't go that extra mile. Even though we still have the future interacting with the past, Deadpool doesn't strive to creatively interweave itself into the universe's history. It's more content to make a joke and move on, which can be a fun experience in its own right. This month's issue continues the time jumping with an equally entertaining <span style="font-weight: bold;">Fantastic Four</span> team up. Shame this book is going to end soon. It's far better without Cable in my opinion. The humour isn't for everyone though, so give it a flip through before picking this up. Read Full Review
