Nerd Initiative - Eda Thomas Bagwell

Overall, G. Willow Wilson’s “Black Cat #14” is arguably the most fun book in the “Queen in Black” event so far. Given what happens, I’m very anxious to see where this leads not just for Felicia, but for the event as a whole! The team truly worked their butts off to make this issue as spectacular as it is and they pulled it off in supreme style. Read Full Review

This is a very strong transitional issue as we get Black Cat interacting with other members of the Marvel universe she ordinarily wouldn't, all while staying true to her character and snarky attitude. The conversation with her and the AI was a highlight, and we never forget; even with all of the comedy in this issue, it never takes away the fact that the world hangs in the balance. This is a high-stakes mission, and Black Cat handles it the only way she knows how: with luck and nine lives. Read Full Review

And they don't necessarily seem like they have any business being where they are. Wilson has had some really good experience adapting smaller story ideas into larger crossover arcs. This particular entry into the Queen In Black ends-up being a great deal of fun. Read Full Review

A great issue that moves along one part of the Queen In Black storyline in a very compelling way. A story that is exciting and compelling, together with artwork that is outstanding make this an issue that you won’t want to pass up on. Read Full Review
