Oct 05, 2022Kieron Gillen and Michele Di Nicuolo give us a character study on Starfox, Earths current Prime Eternal, and what hes doing to save the rest of humanity, as he, the Avengers, and Eternals from the destruction that the Mad Celestial has decreed. Mixed with a staccato like style, thats slick, and moves. What Gillens doing here has been the most character development Ive seen for Starfox since his run on Roger Sterns Avengers from the early 80s. Some good stuff here. Read Full Review

I am 100% here for femboy Starfox who can make atom bombs out of love and struggles in the classic Marvel manner against his great weakness (that he's a bit mid). As someone who is also queer and a bit mid, I really appreciate the representation

I never expected to like this issue as much as I did. It's probably my favorite Judgement day tie in and is not even from a char that I like. But hey is Kieron Gillen using the lore he already established yo make up for a fantastic character study and a great story in its own right

Eros's spotlight issue has no right to be this fun. The pretty art has a distinctive anime-esque style and it's executed with superlative skill. The script is structured in short, choppy scenes and the prose is likewise pithy. Taken together, the work delivers a surprisingly enjoyable peek into Starfox's head while also connecting some important plot points for the larger event.
