It's hard to compare two stories that are so disparate; on one hand, you've got Remender and Peterson delivering a fairly straightforward, but high-energy, well executed superhero throwdown. On the other, you've got Kaare Andrews bending the conventions of mainstream superhero comics almost to the breaking point. It's kind of a beautiful treatise on the potential of superhero comics in the hands of people who love what they're doing, and have the chops to back it up. The overall story of AvX is almost inconsequential compared to the potential of that kind of single issue. Andrews's story alone could be enough to justify the entire six issue series. "AvX: VS" #4 comes out a winner due to the sheer level of fun and wow factor on each page. There is no real story and both writers find a way to make this work to their advantage. The Daredevil versus Psylocke story might be a little thinner but the Thor versus Emma Frost fight more than makes up for it. Watching a thunder god and an overpowered diamond lady tussle might just be the best superhero short story this year. Gorgeous art, silver tongues, mammoth moments -- admit it, some part of you wants this in comics. Read Full Review

The one thing I have enjoyed about the series is the random fun facts. They provide a good amount of information and I can't help but think that if they were incorporated into non-event titles, they might serve to create good jumping on points for new readers. Read Full Review

I'm a sucker for Daredevil. I'm also a sucker for Rick Remender. Remender's first story was by far the best fight of the series yet, but Andrews' second fight was poorly drawn and boring
