Aug 01, 2012The stakes have risen and the kids don't have their mentors or teachers to help them. I can't wait to see how they get out of Briggs' trap. Read Full Review

Aug 01, 2012No doubt we'll learn in the coming weeks whether Academy will be sticking around after Final Exam wraps up. Regardless of the outcome, Gage is showing every sign of doing justice to the characters he's built up these past two years. Read Full Review

X-Man's Comic Blog - Jason Todd
Aug 02, 2012 This was a great start to this storyline, I'm really wondering how they plan on stopping Briggs with no powers and since the Avengers Academy Faculty is busy fighting the X-Men. I'm curious if White Tiger still has her powers since hers are also magic based, and with Finesse probably taking the lead since she still has her fighting skills, I'm curious how X-23 and Reptil will cope. One thing that bothered me is why they are stupid enough to go back to Briggs. I mean... he's a KNOWN psychopath by these kids, I wouldn't have let him cure me for anything, but I guess kids in love do stupid things. That aside, I really enjoyed this issue, here's hoping it stays this good or only gets better! Read Full Review

Aug 09, 2012Avengers Academy #34 is even further proof of this series being one of the best series that Marvel has going. Taking everything he has built-up over the course of the series we see all of the character development for the students of Avengers Academy come to a head. Gage is able to give every character a unique voice as all the students face one of the most important decisions of their lives. Where things go is unknown but it will be exciting to see how Gage ends all of these characters stories and how it builds to their individual futures in the Marvel Universe. Read Full Review

Aug 21, 2012In the letters portion of the comic, Gage says that "when this arc is over, things will not just go back to the way they were before!" Gage has typically been on point with this title, so you have to take him for his word. If you're looking for a strong 4-issue arc that will lead you into Marvel's NOW relaunch, this could very well be it. Read Full Review

Aug 01, 2012"Avengers Academy" #34 feels like it could be the start of the end of the series; if it wasn't for the October solicitations showing at least one more issue beyond the end of "Final Exam," I'd be worried. Still, that's a good sign for us as readers; it says that "Final Exam" genuinely feels like a game changer. Here's to the next three chapters not proving us wrong. Read Full Review
