Comics Bulletin - Ray Tate
Mar 04, 2011So, in summary, Gage reinforces Hank's newfound sanity and heroism while using a continuity fixer-upper to try to give Hazmat a respite from her condition. At the same time, Gage convinces me that Leech is actually worth getting to know and instills even more curiosity in the new FF title. These moves and the willingness of everyone to help grant greater cohesiveness to the Marvel universe. Once again, Christos Gage builds on the foundation of the Heroic Age. A Comic Book Blog - Geoff Arbuckle
Mar 06, 2011Really the only thing that is misleading about this issue is the cover. We're kinda led to believe that this is going to be a whacky, magical issue with Dr. Strange coming in and doing a bunch of tricks and stuff. The magic class referred to on the cover is featured in all of one single panel. At first, I thought, "Oh cool, we get some magic monsters for the kids to deal with." Then, I realized I was putting too much attention on the cover because what I got, instead, was another wonderful character study for two characters (one of which, Speedball, Gage has really made his own with this series and the last few issues of Avengers: The Initiative) that shows us how beautiful life really can be. Sean Chen fills in with this issue before Tom Raney takes over as permanent artist. Chen's style is lightly modified to fit in with Mike McKone's look, offering somewhat thicker lines and heavier blacks. It lacks the slick quality of McKone's pencils, but Chen proves he'll work perfectly well as an occasional guest artist. Read Full Review

Another Fantastic issue by Gage and I think I finally understand Hazmat. Also Leech makes an appearance from Jonathan Hickman's Fantastic Four run (My second favorite comic run ever). Too bad the cover was a bluff and their isn't much magic
