This story is officially in full swing, with the heroes learning why the battles are occurring, while they're battling the many antagonists. This story and its visuals are as strong as the classic Marvel tales of my youth. What a gift to Marvel fans, old and new. Read Full Review

The art has been a bit uneven through the series (the biggest disadvantage to a weekly comic), but the story has been a blast so far, with a non-stop series of events designed to keep the reader - and the heroes - on their toes. Read Full Review

AVENGERS #681 isn't the strongest issue of "No Surrender," but it certainly adds to the epic in a positive way. The origin of Voyager and revelation of the Grandmaster's involvement show strong writing, and the artwork of Jacinto and Curiel continues to be a highlight. Read Full Review

Overall, the seventh installment of No Surrender in Avengers #681 is another solid chapter in what is becoming a significant epic in Avengers history. This issue feels a bit like a transitional issue, but I cannot clearly see where that transition is headed. That mystery, that potential, intrigues me. The second-to-last page amplifies the epic nature of this story by bringing back a character in true Avengers fashion. Where this story goes from here is anyones guess, but Ill definitely be reading. You Don't Read Comics - Jason Dincauze

In the end, this issue, and this series, demonstrate the real reason why weekly comics are not an endeavor that companies want to take on often. It usually doesn't take long before the wheels just fall off, before everybody starts slipping up and making basic errors because there are just too many moving parts and one small thing becomes compounded by other people's errors or failings. Avengers #681 is now almost half way and it's just taking so long to getting to the point and it's so confusing due to the amount of characters involved. I'm hoping it's going to be worth it, as this series isn't cheap. Read Full Review

I was hoping for a bit more on the Voyager but I'll take what I can get. My main complaint is that many characters are frozen and not doing anything.

Continues to be good overall with everyone on board and the Voyager mystery keeps me guessing. Excellent art by Jacinto, No seriously it's really good. Flatter pages by Perkins. At least David Curiel's colors keep it together. The Hulk tease is going on 3 issues and it will be 2 more before he shows up....just a tad annoying.

I really like this story and the direction in which it's going. I like how it takes the story from a different character's perspective in each issue; it makes them more interesting, while providing exposition as to what led to the present situation. I just feel like the constant Hulk teasing is getting a bit redundant. We know that it's him; you can stop now. Overall, very good.

Even more questions are raised about Voyager and her past, as well as the characters finally finding out more information about what's going on. 7 issues in, and this is still going strong. I am quite enjoying these final pages with a certain character coming back, hopefully the comeback will be with a bang.

A little villain focus and some classic backstory for Voyager liven up endless fight scenes and the Avengers' slow acquisition of all the extant pieces of the premise puzzle. A lot is riding on where this goes next: I'm REALLY hoping that the already-low momentum isn't squandered with a lot of recapping. The art features a few individually beautiful panels. Many others are a lot less beautiful, and there's a critical lack of structure/setting/flow holding the pages together. If I were writing a treatise on good visual storytelling I could pull A LOT of "how not to do it" examples from this comic.

It's starting to become very difficult to follow as there are many characters thrown into the mix here and i am just starting to realise that. The whole pyramoid thing is getting old real fast for me. So hopefully the event picks up soon. The art is good and David Curiel continues to impress me with his colouring.

New issue of No Surrender. Sadly I have been spoiled on one part of the end on Facebook. I find this issue not quit what I expected. The battle seem too calm been interrupted by Tony in the HQ or Rogue team. And both don't give something very important. Ok there is a new part of Voyager & that just surprising but too late. We already have a part of his story with the avengers & that part was more interesting than her origin story. The only fact who matter was the fact the lethal legion take one point & that the Avengers as to defend the last artefact at all cost. I like the Captain Glory story & the fact the Grand Master use some kind of the same technique than the Timebroker in Exiles. Both team are dead or dead to become & have to w more

I was going to stop reading this after part 6, but the cliffhanger was so good that I continued reading, and I got more of the same in part 7. I really dislike this storyline. It's one-dimensional and all-over-the-place. Too many characters being shoehorned into 2-3 page segments, and none of the villains have been developed at all. It's all fight fight fight, and I don't really care about the Black Order, the Lethal Legion, the Grandmaster, or the Challenger. Because of the lukewarm, generic writing, I barely care about the Avengers in this arc (and I'm a big fan of the Avengers). I gave this arc a shot, but this is my last issue.
