Apr 17, 2017The story isgripping and moves at a perfect pace, the art is fantastic and attentiongrabbing, there really is very little not to like found inside the pages ofthis title. This is how a Spider book should look and feel and I wish the main AmazingSpider-Man title would take a few notes from its B title counterpart. Read Full Review

Apr 14, 2017Hey, you got your X-Men in my Spider-Man! Gerry Conway introduces his version of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngster. While Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #6 might be frustrating for those who wanted a laser focus on the Spider-Family, the X-Men tour does wonders to build the world around the characters. Apr 14, 2017Combined with a fun twist on Annie's precognitive powers interacting with Cerebro, The Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #6 is a strong story for the Parkers, but is also a great team up between the Spider-family and classic X-Men. Read Full Review

This book always brings a smile to my face. There was a lot to like here, from the old school X-Men being, well, heroes, to the interactions between Annie and the X-Men. I appreciate how Conway is managing to show how things have gone slightly differently in this universe, what with the old Logan-Jean-Scott love triangle actually wrapped up pretty definitively here. Easily one of the best comics Marvel is putting out right now.

This was the last issue pulled for me after I decided to drop this title, and, lo and behold, I really liked it. It's fun to see this old school, but different iteration of the X-Men. The whole concept of this book has kind of lost me, with Peter's whole family super-powered, but I'll probably try to get the rest of this X-Men storyline.

Annie at the Xavier School? The Parkers don't agree on it, and Magneto is gonna have something to say on the subject too. The two parts of this book - Parker family adventure and AU X-Men world-building - aren't quite fused seamlessly. The narrative wobbles back and forth between the two goals. The result is a cut above the ordinary, but the joints could have been sanded and smoothed a little better to make this truly epic. Ryan Stegman's linework looks a little rushed but his layouts are impeccable.
