  Okay, that was a bit boring and nothing's really new here. But there were some cool moments, especially the last page and that part of action without words, it's not a thing you see often in those old comics.

  This is another issue that really doesn't do much for me. Molten Man still isn't a great villain, and there's not much on the Peter Parker side. This issue tries to have a lot of fun, and that's commendable, sure. What I want, though, is the same comic I got a few issues back. I want to see storytelling on that level. I don't want issues that feel throwaway if not for one or two pages, like this did. What I can say is that Ditko is, art-wise, still killing it. This title has evolved a lot since it began. You can already feel the tugging toward modernity with some of the techniques being used. That's great. That makes my reading experience more enjoyable. But I want that in conjunction with meaningful stories that make these disposable magaz ines worth the time, you know? Quote of the issue: "So, Your Best Weapon is Totally Useless! It Can't Stick to my Slippery, Molten Body!" more
