    I could've sworn there was like 5 other people who at one point or another I was 100% they were Hobgoblin. I hear theres been retcon after retcon over the years.... Kingpin such a legendary villain

    (Cover Date: June, 1987) Jack O'Lantern assumes the role of Hobgoblin after Ned Leeds is murdered by the Foreigner's hitmen. It was later retconned that Ned Leeds was not the actual Hobgoblin, but he had been brainwashed into thinking that he was. Since the actual Hobgoblin had super-strength, he would never have been physically overpowered by the hitmen as Leeds was.
