Alpha Flight#3 continues to show some major promise. This book fills a necessary role within Fall of X. Other books gloss over the day-to-day horrors of civilians, but the Alphans deal with them directly. The issue also reintroduces a classic character and promises to raise the stakes as the penultimate issue approaches. It will be interesting to see whereAlpha Flight goes from here, especially as the Krakoan era begins to wind down. Read Full Review

Alpha Flight #3 is one of the few X-titles that continues to treat the Orchis threat with urgency and seriousness. That said, this issue feels more like a setup/transition issue by creating bubbling tension without delivering at least one wow moment. Read Full Review

There is so much going on in Alpha Flight #3 that I almost wish this particular issue had been divided into two parts or it had been paced a bit different, but that is more a hallmark of everything going on with all things "Fall of X." Read Full Review

This series continues to be one of my favorite of the "Fall of X'" limited series. Others have been written as lackluster, episodic entries, while Ed Brisson has been focusing on a larger narrative being built issue-by-issue. With the reveal of the new Nemesis, there are added stakes as final issue awaits. I wasn't expecting to enjoy this series as much as I have, but there's been quite a nice balance of action and political drama that may not be too complex, but offers something unique at this point in Krakoa's arc.

A solid issue that really picked up towards the second half. I very much agree with what DerbyComics stated in their review, in that this is dealing much more with a larger narrative than a good chunk of the other Fall of X runs have. While others have felt more self-contained within each issue, this continues to build one ongoing story and it does so nicely. That's something I really like about this miniseries and I hope it continues until the end.

The pace trots along nicely. I'm invested in how the plot develops, and the art is right in line with my taste. I'll call it a good comic, but just barely. Why? The biggest shocking developments in this issue all rely on a level of Alpha Flight scholarship that I don't have. And frankly, better writing could get me past that, but this script doesn't try.
