When it comes right down to it Felipe Smith is offering up an intriguing version of this character within an interesting narrative and I'm optimistic that Damion Scott is up to the challenge of making this very visual book his own. Sep 26, 2014If there is any character that should be objectively awesome and kickass, it's Ghost Rider. All-New Ghost Rider is anything but awesome and in fact is one of the most bottom of the barrel comics on the shelf. This is a failing experiment in reintroducing a character that turns out didn't need anything but a chopper and art that lies in the scale somewhere above pedestrian. Read Full Review

The art is digital in a bad sense and the story doesn't go in a direction I'd like t see. I mean, the author kinda tries, there's even Blaze now, but... Nah.

Clings stubbornly to the baseline established by the series so far. In addition to the main plot, we do get glimpses of the subplots - but it comes off as desultory at best, with no discernible progression. However, the last page suggests that a welcome shakeup to the status quo is coming - as I doubt I'm the only one who thinks that the Dr. Zabo/monster pills shtick is starting to overstay its welcome. The art will probably polarise the readership - personally, I disliked it and found it reminiscent of John Lucas' recent work on Deadpool through the Original Sin tie-ins. However, folks who like exaggerated and cartoony pencils will probably get a kick out of it. For those people: add an extra point to the overall score I gave.
