Jun 09, 2016Brrmaud and Bertolucci are modern masters manipulating the medium to their will. The end result is a breathtaking thing of beauty, a series with limitless potential and wild unpredictability. For fans of comics, this is the art form at a near-pure state. For fans of nature shows and movies, this is a storyboard for a never-released documentary, lush with gorgeous, violent, earnest imagery. For fans of both, Love: The Lion is a must-have.
