Jan 11, 2019Overall, The Quintessential Quintuplets is an okay entry in the romcom genre. It's perhaps outshone by VIZ Media's recent debut of We Never Learn but, nevertheless, if you like this genre, I think The Quintessential Quintuplets is worth checking out at some point " even if it's not right now. May 16, 2021I'm sure each one of the girls will eventually become their own character, but in this first volume, we only get a little bit of dedicated time to two of them: Yotsuba and Miku. Yotsuba is bubbly and welcoming, albeit the least academically gifted. Miku is quiet, loves listening to music, and has a strange fascination with Japanese warlords of the past. Otherwise, the three other girls are sort of blending into the same character. There are also some major flaws with this title. The translation seems to be really rough, as in someone translated it word for word and whole sentences seem out of context at times. There is also a LOT of fan-service. Read Full Review
