Sep 24, 2025Overall, issue #23 of Void Rivals is a fantastic addition to the Energon Universe. The storytelling is sharp, the artwork is stunning, and theres just the right touch of heart. Its an easy 10/10 for me and I cant wait for the next issue. Read Full Review

Sep 25, 2025VOID RIVALS #23 has everything a fan could want: stellar art, intense action, and a fast-paced story that leaves you on the edge of your seat. But the resolution of the main plotline is a massive letdown, sacrificing the emotional payoff for a jarringly abrupt retreat. It's a great comic, but it fails to deliver on the very promise that has driven the series from the beginning. Read Full Review

Void Rivals #23 was a bit of a letdown ... the first in this series ... it seems that Kirkman was racing towards an epic climax only to have the rug pulled out from under us. The Skuxxoid storyline is fun and somewhat interesting ... but should not have been part of this issue - everything should have been focused on the Unity story. The Pythona and Wheelie meet up was over shadowed by what was happening (or NOT happening) in plot A. Still a well written issue ... just wasn't what was promised in the previous 22 issues.
