We're getting closer to discovering some of the answers in the "Larger World." The idea of other survivors besides Rick's group could mean more allies or more conflicts. After all the disasters they've suffered through, there's no surprise that they would be extremely cautious. It's hard to say where this story will got as Kirkman always manages to pull the rug out from beneath our feet. The action does slow down a little here but you get a strong sense that something big is about to happen (again). Read Full Review

This issue is quite good. Robert Kirkman obviously has a plan, and is able to easily define who these characters are by their actions. His writing is quite reminiscent of The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Otherwise, the art by Charlie Adlard is quite great. He is able to do just about anything in his style, and it shows through. Together, I cannot see any reason for any fan (or new fan) of the comic not to pick this up. Read Full Review

The good news is that the buildup is over. If you have been waiting for something to happen then you will wait no longer. I'm not sure how everything is going to play out from here but that is the joy of reading this title. I definitely recommend checking this book out. Read Full Review

In short, The Walking Dead #95 is a strong bit of story with some real (you should excuse the expression) bite to it, but it also clearly reminds me why my preferred method of reading the book is six or eight issues at a time. Read Full Review

I guess this was okay. I mean, I'm not in any danger of dropping TWD, but this issue (and other recent issues) are going to be really disappointing for us folks telling fans of the TV show, "You have to read the comics. The comics are so much better." Read Full Review

Is this a good issue? I don't know, I've read it so many times before that I can't honestly say it was even good the first time around. I think that the idea of a monthly zombie book is the only reason this title even exists and frankly it's not going anywhere any time soon. When people ask me what's the five pound brain that killed the zombie genre the way Twilight killed the vampire genre, I'll say The Walking Dead. Read Full Review

Rick and his small group meet the nth group boss of the saga, another old man with an arrogant attitude. It might be my problem, but I can't not love how Kirkman characterizes his new entries, even when they remind somebody else. It's definitely a game that he's playing, that of doubt, like every other time our people has met with strangers. And, incredibly enough, it still works. But it's not just that, of course. The new problem/threat feels really big and frightening and I'm eager to proceed to know more about Negan.
